All my work is free.

Free as in what?

Free as in Freedom.

You may see copies of my work sold here and there, like right now  on Amazon.  This is because I like to eat, shower and sleep indoors, and also because Amazon is where readers congregate.  But there will always be a free version of my work somewhere like Smashwords or TUEBL or the Pirate Bay or wherever free books survive in the future.  More importantly, however, free means you are free to do whatever you like with my work.  I do not control what happens with your communications, with your data on your computer, or with your purchases, and I don’t pretend to.

My work uses Creative Commons “lisence” CC0, or Public Domain.  Well, it’s as close to the Public Domain as a living person can get.  Being inspired by free software culture and debates, I’ve mused a bit on this ideology and its relationship to fiction:

Free As in Freedom: For Fiction?

Free As in Freedom: Books Are Not Software (a)

Free As in Freedom: Books Are Not Software (b)

But you don’t have to care about the ideology.  Basically, if you enjoy my stories, please do me the honor of copying, sharing, and using them in any way that makes you happy. No strings attached.  Ever.  It’s as simple as that.  If you really want to give something back, then you can do that, too.

If not, you can just read.
